The National Consumer Rights Commission, New Delhi, Working Women’s Council Kashmir, and the Centre for Women’s Studies and Research (CWSR), University of Kashmir (KU), in partnership with the National Consumer Rights Commission, New Delhi, launched a three-day free exhibition here on Monday to honor the spirit of entrepreneurship and accomplishments of women from Kashmir and to highlight the skills and innovations of local women entrepreneurs.
Inaugurating the grand exhibition, KU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nilofer Khan emphasized the value of these exhibitions and the platforms they provide for elevating the profile of women entrepreneurs, motivating youth, and fostering local economic development.
Prof. Naseer Iqbal, KU Registrar, spoke with the young female entrepreneurs as well and reaffirmed his commitment to providing these business owners with complete assistance, making sure they get the inspiration and tools they need to succeed in their endeavors.
“This exhibition honors the tenacity and inventiveness of our female entrepreneurs rather than merely serving as a product display. We’ll make sure they get the support and tools they need to be successful,” he declared.
Speaking during the event, Saba Bhat, Chairperson of the National Consumer Rights Commission for North India, stated: “This exhibition is just the beginning.” We will keep up these efforts and give female businesses more chances to succeed.

The program’s coordinator, Dr. Roshan Ara of CWSR, KU, stated: “The exhibition aims to further highlight the economic contributions of women entrepreneurs in the region.”
She continued by saying that the show is expected to serve as a center for knowledge and inspiration, inspiring a new wave of businesspeople to realize their full potential.
Exhibiting a diverse range of products selected by more than 100 young entrepreneurs from Kashmir, the exhibition showcases stalls that showcase everything from gourmet delicacies and cosmetics to garments, demonstrating the ingenuity and tenacity of the region’s women-owned business community.
