The CEO of the massive sports retailer Decathlon, Barbara Martin Coppola, stated at the Reuters Next conference on Wednesday that the political climate in France is unstable following the government’s overthrow by a no-confidence vote.

She stated, “Hopefully stability will come back to France,” noting that while the sports industry has so far shown resilience, the uncertainty is weighing on customers and may have long-term consequences for the business.
