Lovely Professional University (LPU) recently hosted the Startup Ecosystem Enablers Meet, a key event designed to promote entrepreneurial growth and innovation both in Punjab and specifically within the LPU campus. The event brought together notable stakeholders from leading organizations to shape and discuss the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the state.

Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Lovi Raj Gupta and Senior Dean Dr. Sorabh Lakhanpal warmly welcomed distinguished guests, including Ahmed Aljneibi, Diplomat in the UAE Embassy and Director, UAE-India CEPA Council; Dipan Sahu, Assistant Innovation Director; AICTE, Government of India, and Center Incharge of Jaipur INOVATION; and ATAL Academy and Idea Lab Facility of AICTE.

In his address, Deepan Sahu stressed the necessity of changing India’s status as the world’s largest economy. In the interests of innovation, science, technology, problem-solving, and entrepreneurship, he stressed the mobilization of individual skills, institutions, and resources.

The framework, opportunities, and innovation support between India and the UAE were discussed by Ahmed Aljneibi. He expressed hope for further cooperation in the future by highlighting the joint projects between the two countries.

Dr. Lovi Raj Gupta, pro-vice-chancellor, noted the significant contributions made by Indians in a variety of fields; he cited AI as an example. He lamented, however, the lack of courage in bringing these inventions from India to the global stage. He praised LPU for initiating a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation by providing seed funding for students’ ideas.
