In a surprising musical collaboration, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has joined forces with T-Pain to transform Lil Jon’s “Get Low” into a laid-back, acoustic rendition, complete with Zuckerberg’s own autotuned vocals. The cover, crafted as a personal tribute to Zuckerberg’s wife, Priscilla Chan, reinterprets the high-energy anthem into a much calmer version.
Zuckerberg shared the inspiration behind the project on Instagram, saying, “‘Get Low’ was playing when I first met Priscilla at a college party, so it’s become a tradition for us to listen to it every year on our dating anniversary.” To mark the special occasion, he partnered with T-Pain, playfully taking on the name “Z-Pain” for their collaboration. He called the cover “our unique rendition of this lyrical masterpiece.”
The revamped version features Zuckerberg’s autotuned vocals delivering the iconic, explicit lyrics, accompanied by a gentle acoustic guitar. The slower tempo creates a striking contrast to the upbeat energy the song is known for, offering a unique twist for those familiar with its lively history at school dances or college parties. Fans who listen through to the middle of the track will also catch T-Pain’s cameo, adding a dose of authenticity to the reimagined cover.
While Zuckerberg tried to share the track on his social media, some users encountered issues accessing it on desktop, potentially sparing them from this unexpected musical surprise. For those eager to hear it, the track is available on Spotify.
