An entrepreneur warns that a potential Kamala Harris presidency could be a concern for small business owners

Serial business owner Shawn Meaike believes that under the Biden-Harris administration, American entrepreneurs are finding that their lives are “a lot harder today” than they were during previous President Trump’s administration and that a Kamala Harris presidency should scare away capitalists.

Meaike was “broke” as a child, but after creating profitable companies in the real estate, waste management, and life insurance industries, he is now valued at “more than nine figures.” These days, he is enthusiastic about serving as a mentor to aspiring young business owners. Meaike reported that several of the business owners who have been consulting with him recently have made a political 180-degree turn.

“Many businessmen and businesswomen who have never voted Republican have told me that the present administration has made it nearly impossible for their company to exist.

Meaike claimed to have lived the American dream and expressed concern that the results of November’s election may affect those who share his aspirations. 

“I believe that businesswomen and women are worried about a Kamala-led presidency. “I believe that they should be, given how far left she is,” Meaike remarked.

Meaike stated that both President Biden and the likely Democratic contender, Vice President Harris, had put policies into place and suggested others that would harm business owners.

When the Trump Tax Cuts and Jobs Act expires in 2019, the majority of Americans will see a significant rise in taxes. In 2020, Harris’s unsuccessful primary campaign platform advocated for higher corporate taxes, a levy for carbon emissions, and a tax on stock and bond transactions. Although Harris has not yet revealed his 2024 tax plan, Meaike claimed that both Biden and Harris have many more strategies to discourage investors.

Republicans have held Harris responsible for inflation since she cast the deciding vote on the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. Meaike claims that more Biden-Harris administration initiatives have severely harmed company owners and their staff.

Meaike stated that increases in the minimum wage have made it more difficult for company owners to bring on additional staff and that inflation has reduced the disposable cash that small business owners need to succeed. The absence of law and order under the Biden-Harris government, in his opinion, has also harmed business owners.

Meaike said, “People want safety. They don’t want stores in Oakland to be robbed while it takes police three hours to respond. They want to protect their American dream and avoid scenarios where people come down the street, burn flags, spray paint monuments, and threaten others.

People simply want to go to work, feel secure, pay their mortgage, and take care of their children. It’s not that complicated.”

The White House maintains that the Biden-Harris administration has been beneficial for small business owners.

In June, the administration announced that over 18 million new business applications had been filed during Biden’s tenure.

“My administration is supporting this unprecedented wave of entrepreneurship with historic investments in small businesses and communities across the country,” Biden said in a statement.

Meaike believes that just one candidate will have the interests of capitalists in mind when voters choose who to support in the crucial election in November.
